OVERVIEW

As a gamer with glasses one of the most difficult things to do is find a comfortable headset. In majority of my experiences a headset will sound great but feel uncomfortable during long gaming sessions , or feel comfortable but lack in sound quality. That is not the case with HyperX Cloud III. These are over-the-ear headphones with memory foam on the ear cushions and in the headband, which blew me away! I was able to wear these for hours on end without that nagging feeling of them pressing hard against my glasses.

PROS
These feature DTS spatial audio, which is industry standard, it is a surround sound feature that allows seem to come from all around you. I was able to test with my PC PS5, and Nintendo Switch. HyperX did an excellent job delivering sound wise, I noticed it most in my playthrough of Spider-Man 2. Web slinging through NYC I could hear everything from birds chirping, traffic, and civilian conversations. For my FPS fans you'll be able to hear incoming enemy footsteps with no issue, I tested these with both Call of Duty and the latest shooter  "The Finals".

Outside of comfort the biggest surprise for me has been battery life. These are advertised at 120 hours, as someone who regularly forgets to charge things I am really impressed with these. I've had them about 2 weeks at the time of writing and they are still at 80%. This is including some live streams and hour long gaming sessions, so the average gamer should have no issues with battery.

Smaller things that I really enjoy about the headphones:
-They tell you what battery percentage you have left if you tap the power button
-There is a free application called HyperX Ngenuity as well as a free codec that can help improve sound quality
-Carry Bag included

Cons
I do not have many cons they are more like nitpicks. First although battery life is phenomenal on these headphones I do wish there was a an optional 3.5mm cord. The second thing I noticed is that the included microphone does not sound the best depending on what you are using it for. If you are strictly using it to chat via game console you will be fine, however using these for work meetings or discord chats it sounds clear but a little cheap. I did a mic test in my videos down below on this headset, as well a test with different people to see how it sounded on their end. The people on console said it sounded great, while friends on discord said the audio was not as good to them. I chalk this up as people on discord are more so audiophiles because majority of people there are used to my professional mic, which is why I said this is not a con more so of a nitpick depending on your use for the headset.

The Verdict
HyperX Cloud III is an excellent headset and now my primary pair. The comfort is far greater than the other 3 headsets that I own, and this is the first headset I have ever owned that has not pressed my glasses against my head after hours of use. Sound wise these are on par with other high quality headphones and can be improved with the free software downloads.
These are a must have for gamers who wear glasses and gamers who prioritize comfort.
